Frogs Dominate Bulldogs 45-21 in Opener

Article By: srgtzt

Fresno, CA — The TCU Horned Frogs kicked off their NDL 30 season in dominant fashion, cruising to a 45-21 victory over the Fresno State Bulldogs in front of a packed crowd at Valley Children's Stadium. This much-anticipated opener marked the debut of TCU’s new head coach, SrgtZt, whose arrival brought plenty of excitement and expectations to Fort Worth.

Quarterback Josh Hoover led the Horned Frogs' offense with an efficient performance, completing 17 of 23 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns. Hoover demonstrated poise and command of the offense, setting the tone early as TCU jumped out to a lead and never looked back.

The star of the night, however, was running back Cam Cook. Cook made a significant impact with just 10 carries, racking up 116 yards on the ground and scoring three touchdowns. His explosive runs and ability to find the end zone earned him Player of the Game honors, as he proved to be a key factor in TCU’s offensive dominance.

On the defensive side of the ball, TCU’s defense made life difficult for Fresno State's offense. The Horned Frogs forced four turnovers, including three interceptions and a critical forced fumble that halted the Bulldogs' momentum. TCU’s defense showed its ability to capitalize on mistakes and create opportunities for their offense.

Fresno State fought hard but struggled to keep up with the relentless pace of the Horned Frogs. Despite scoring 21 points, the Bulldogs were unable to overcome the turnovers and the big plays from TCU’s offense.

With the victory, TCU starts the season on a high note and will look to carry their momentum into their next matchup. The Horned Frogs will travel to face UCF for their Big 12 conference opener, a crucial early test for SrgtZt and his squad as they aim to make noise in conference play.

Blow Out in Fresno

Coach Giver needs to choose is out of conference opponents a little more wisely. Apparently he forgot about the 48-14 loss to coach Sgzt last year. Fresno got down 28 in the first and it was a slow death from there. TCU ran up and down the field as well as passing when needed. Defense was a tough go for Fresno. Hopefully we can chalk that up to who we were playing. On a positive note we ran the ball well with Sherrod going over 150 yds on the ground. Definately a bad taste to start, but hopefully we can find some good mouth wash with our next opponent.
