UConn entered their bowl game with very little respect from the pundits despite a 12-0 season but they flew to Hawaii with a goal to achieve... a perfect season.
The Huskies were perfect today offensively scoring on every drive of the game, but they settled for 4 fg's behind the conservative play calling of coach Riccio.
"Maybe that's why i wasn't up for Coach of the year" said Riccio in jest following the win. "We don't need to win sexy, we just need to win... and we did that all year. I'm very proud of the boys."
UConn saw a much different roster for the bowl game following the roster update which threw them off early on having a new QB, RB and TE in the game. After settling in, they started to hit stride and Fagnano threw for 300+ yards on the day in an efficient manner.
The defense was a bit sluggish today, only forcing 1 turnover but they did get a big 4th down stop when they needed it.
UConn finishes a magical ride with their first ever perfect season and nobody can take that away, not even talking heads like PacksyD.
