The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets just simply cannot keep up with the Cardinals on the road in this contest. Haynes King throws an interception in the redzone on one of the opening drives which set the offense off to a bad start that would lead to a Cardinals touchdown on the other end. The defense wasn't much help either allowing Louisville to rush for 200+ yards throughout the entire game. No matter what formation or who was on the field, the Yellow Jackets just simply could not stop the Cardinals on the ground.
However, in the second half, the Yellow Jacket offense turned things around offensively. Haynes King connects with the receiver for an 85-yard touchdown to give the Yellow Jackets a little spark. They would then go on to bring the game to within five points and had a chance at taking the lead before ultimately fumbling the ball for a 70+ yard scoop and score for the Cardinals. The defense couldn't stop the run game yet again in the second half either. On the bright side, the Swarm offense through for 500+ yards and looked fantastic at times. Just need to straighten everything else out. Onto the next!
In a game that started fast for the Cardinals and came out to an early 14-0 lead in the first behind a passing touchdown by Tyler Shough and a rushing touchdown by Isacc brown but after a Georgia Tech safety caused by one of their defensive tackles, it was now 14-2 to end the first. After the game started to hot and both would trade blows it would then be 21-9 at halftime. Georgia Tech would force a punt after the half, then score to make it 21-16. However, after controlling the ground game the Cardinals would get the score back to a score game to make 28-16. In the second half, both defenses would be non-existent existence with both teams trading deep shots it would be 56-35 and the Cardinals would knee it out and take the win. But there is one guy name that stood through the whole game and his name is Thor Griffith he had the game of his lifetime and get this he is Louisville defensive tackle number 2. In this game, a total of 7 tacked 4 tackles for loss and 2 sacks this guy was a man on a mission proving when he should have that defensive tackle number 1 spot and he has earned and will start next week against NOTRE DAME. However, another I need to note is quarterback and leader Tyler Shough through the first 4 quarters he was 20/20 312 years, and 2 touchdowns until he thought a late-game pick that had no impact on the game. However, the defense as a whole played a great game forcing fumble and getting interceptions the whole game.
