Cowboys Secure First Win of Season
Article By: Wyoming held off a late surge by Air Force to secure a 21-7 victory in a hard-fought contest at War Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
The game was marked by strong defensive efforts from both sides, with Wyoming controlling much of the tempo through its physical play. After building a two-touchdown lead by halftime, the Cowboys appeared to be in control. However, Air Force responded with a determined effort in the second half, narrowing the gap with a touchdown that put the pressure on Wyoming.
But the Cowboys didn’t flinch, answering with a key score of their own that restored a comfortable lead. Air Force continued to battle, threatening to close the gap, but Wyoming’s defense stepped up in crucial moments, including a pivotal stop on a key possession late in the game.
Despite Air Force’s best efforts to rally, Wyoming’s defense and ball control offense helped seal the 21-7 victory, allowing the Cowboys to hang on for the win.
Wyoming at home was to much for the Falcons on this cold Cowboy dayTurnovers, just to much to overcome
Article By: Air Force had been great at protecting the ball and not beating their-selves so far this season The USAFA had forced 5 turnovers and not committed a single one. John Busha was looking like a front runner for MWC player of the year. Then the real Busha showed up. Busha threw 3 interceptions and lost a fumble against a game Cowboy team. When you lose the turnover battle 4-0 its surprising, we only lost by 14. Air Force had 2 turnovers inside the Cowboys 30 and another inside their own 20. too much to overcome when you're not an offensive power anyway.
