The Wake Forest Demon Deacons renewed their rivalry with the Wolfpack of NC State and it was one for the ages as the Deacs would come away with a 35-28 victory in Raleigh.
The Wake offense would be led on the day by a strong running game paced by Demond Claiborne who would tally 177 yards on the ground and 4 touchdowns. He was complimented by Tate Carney who would give Claiborne some rest by gain 55 yards on 9 carries himself.
Quarterback Hank Bachmeier with an efficient 7/8 for 187 & a score, would help keep the offense in balance. Due d Alexander would snag the td pass by Bachmeier for 56 yards.
The defense gave up some drives early but buckled down when they needed to do so. Standout defensive end Jasheen Davis would come up huge on passing plays as he would deliver 8 tackles 5 for loss & 5 sacks on the day. Safety Nick Anderson would help lead a balanced attack keeping NC State out of the end zone just enough with 7 tackles as well. Davaughn Patterson & Capone Blue would stifle 2 drives for the Pack with ints to help the Deacs keep the ball away from the potent Wolfpack offense.

In a thrilling showdown, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons faced off against the NC State Wolfpack. Early on, both teams exchanged touchdowns, with Wake Forest's dominant rushing game and NC State's strong passing attack keeping things tight.
By halftime, Wake Forest led 28-14. The Deacons extended their lead in the third quarter with another touchdown, making it 35-21. NC State fought back, but turnovers and missed opportunities hurt their chances.
In the final quarter, Wake Forest's defense held strong, and NC State couldn’t complete a comeback. The Deacons clinched the win, 35-28, thanks to a balanced offense and solid defense.
