Picks killed the Rams early

Rams Rally and Hold off Beavers

We saw some Tuesday night fireworks with plenty of high and low moments. Much of the Ram trouble could be diremcted at the four picks in the game. Three occurred in the first half giving the Beavers great field position and the lone pick in the second half went for six with the Rams up eight.

OSU led 17-0 before a second quarter TD reception by WR Dylan Gofney made it 17-7. With time left in the half the Beavers wanted more but a big sack and fumble return for six made it 17-14 at the break. Coach TSTEP "Our D came up clutch to close the half. Big play for the scoop and score."

In the second half the Beavers would get the pick bug and the Rams would stretch the lead to 28-17. The Beavers would score on a 75 yard TD run but miss the two point conversion (28-23 after three). the Rams would kick a Fg to go up eight when disaster struck. The Beavers pick the ball and score - they missed the two to be down two. CSU moved the ball to inside the 15 where they had a 4th and 1 - Coach TStep elected to kick three for the five point lead. The Beavers moved the ball down the field but the Rams D would pick off a pass at the two to secure the win.
