After blowing a lead against Liberty the Owls keep on the throttle against Western Kentucky forcing 7 interceptions, 2 by Tyler Hallum.
The offense was safe and steady as it didnt have to do much. Two touchdowns came via interception returns. In the end the Owls were actually outgained by 115 yards, but the +7 turnover differential was too much for Western Kentucky to overcome.
The Owls defense was relentless in forcing bad throws and getting pressure on the quarterback.
Michael Benefield led the scoring offensively with 2 touchdowns on the ground and 82 yards.
An early benching put TJ Finley in for the Hilltoppers, he played well aside from the interceptions.
