Not much to say. Game was over at half time. 3 INTs in the first and HFA momentum made it impossible to really get anything going or make it competitive. Iowa defense was humming and made Wisconsin look futile.
Wiggle Stick Wildes as some are now calling him, put on a display for the adjust as he was just untackleable in the first half. Defensive 200% heat seeker was not working, and neither was the tackle assist button. Brutal set bad for the Badgers as they now look to move forward.
Wisconsin has looked good this year, but not today and not on the road in their two losses they've spiraled and lost by a combined 48 points.
Iowa shines at home in a fun Kinnick Stadium atmosphere. Iowa would kick off and force a 3 and out. The Hawkeyes would go down the field on their first drive and have to settle for a fg, a 57 yard bomb from Stevens. On the ensuing drive Iowa would get a pick 6 and completely swing the momentum to the Hawkeyes favor for entirety of the game.
Iowa's defense was the difference in the game. They would force 3 turnovers in the first half, and the big boys up front would do the rest. HB Johnson and QB McNamara were pulled in the second qtr, and both coaches show great ndl sportsmanship by just running the ball and killing clock the second half.
