This game was basically over when the ball was kicked off. LSU came out strong and effective and never looked back. Bama's first offensive play was tackled for a one yard loss as the LSU defensive front just caved in the line of scrimmage.
LSU offense scored at will in the first half with two offensive td drives and the defense added two defensive scorers from intercecptions.
Alabama was down 28-0 before they knew what hit them. LSU would show mercy in the second half by only adding 2 field goals and holding down the clock. Bama had no answer for the LSU attack and limped out of Death Valley with a 34-0 loss.
