No one thought the game between Fresno and Air Force was gonna be a barn burner …. But 24-14 with 3 defensive scores was what it was. Both offenses came in with a reputation of running the ball…. Well nether team reached its 100 yard goal in rushing yards. Cade Harris and Mikal Sherrod was both held way under their averages today. Both defensive coordinators said we will not lose because of the other teams runner.. and we’ll neither did. The difference in the game was a Fresno screen pass that went for a score early in the 3rd. Coach Ank noted .. I loved the chess match with coach Chase…. It was a battle, it was a game , it was MWC football at its best. The loss knocked AF out of any conference title talk and maybe out a bowl, but it showed us that AF may not just be a team that protects its country …. But an actual football team.
Great game Chase. I hope you come back to the MWC next season.
