Rutgers Plays Some Defense

The Scarlett Knights hosted Illinois this afternoon and came away with its second B1G win of the season. Rutgers won the game behind a strong defensive performance and solid rushing with timely passing. The Knights used their two-headed QB rotation to play ball control while having the edge in time possession 20 minutes to 7.

Pat Bryant seems to be the only player that cares at this point

What’s new? Another Illinois loss? You betcha and probably the most embarrassing one yet as the offense was shut out by Rutgers! This team has completely gone into flames. Surprisingly the defense actually played really good only allowing 17 points. Illinois now finds themselves at 5-6 due to 5 straight painful L’s. It will come down to their game against Northwestern to find out if they will be bowl eligible after having a great chance of having a bowl game when they were 5-1.
