San Diego State Aztecs Dominate Utah State Aggies 41-7
The San Diego State Aztecs delivered a commanding performance against the Utah State Aggies, securing a decisive 41-7 victory. The win was fueled by a suffocating defensive effort and a well-balanced offensive attack.
Defensive Domination
San Diego State’s defense was the story of the game, forcing six interceptions and putting relentless pressure on Utah State’s offense. Dalesean Staley led the turnover spree with two picks, while Eric Butler, JD Coffey III, Tano Letuli, and Chris Johnson each contributed one. Coffey turned his interception into six points, returning it for a touchdown.
Trey White continued his standout season, tallying three tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks, wreaking havoc in the backfield and making life difficult for the Aggies' offense.
Balanced Offensive Attack
On the offensive side, the Aztecs found success both on the ground and through the air. Running back Marquez Cooper led the charge with 93 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown. His backfield partner, Kenan Christon, was equally effective, rushing for 79 yards on just 11 carries and adding two touchdowns.
Quarterback Danny O’Neil provided efficiency in the passing game, throwing for 209 yards and two touchdowns, keeping the Aggies’ defense on its heels throughout the contest.
With this dominant win, the Aztecs showcased their strength on both sides of the ball and continued to build momentum heading into the next matchup.
