Shitsburgh was looking to close out a dreadful season that saw them loose four straight, three of which they weren't even competative.
1st Qtr-
Started off like a typical panthers game with a pick on third play as Holstien had a red bar.
BC would put a nice 9 play drive together getting into the red zone however they would have ball that looked to sail and get picked off by Louis.
Pitt would get back to back first downs but the sack bug would him them twice and they would have to punt.
BC would get a first down on the first play but than get stopped after three plays to punt and end the quarter.
2nd Qtr-
Pitt would have a seven play drive get stopped to force a 4th and 1 at the BC 38. Sauls would line it up and have the leg but he pushed it left from 55 yards out.
BC would take the momentum and score in two plays catching Pitt in a blitz and hitting Morales in the flat who would go 17 yards untouched. 0-7
Pitt would get back to their old ways and go three and out.
BC would get the ball with 3:30 left in the half. They would eat up the clock getting down to the Pitt five but have two dropped balls in the end zone and then have that dreaded left hash fg from the 11 which would stay left.
3rd Qtr-
BC would air it out and score in five plays to open the half as Bond would sneak by the corner from 27 yards out. 0-14.
Pitt would get a nice strike over the middle to Bartholomew but then get stuffed at the BC 20 and have to settle for 3. 3-14.
BC would open with a great call springing Jones free for 49 yards on the right side. They would get the back down to the Ptt 2 but get stuffed and setlle for the 3. 3-17.
Pitt would get to mid field but get sacked again and facing a 4th and 20 decided to punt.
BC would look to run their four minute offense but a botched pitch would lead to Bass getting the scope and scoring getting the Panthers back in it. 10-17.
BC would get sacked but convert a 20 yarder to get the first down. They would then get stopped on three plays and be forced to give Pitt the ball with 3:50 left.
Pitt would get the ball to the BC 27 but Holstein would force the ball when he had a guy open down the sideline and the pick would set up the Eagles to seal the game. with 1:20 left.
BC force Pitt to use all of their timeouts but failed to get a first down give the Panthers life with 1:09 at their own 22 with no time outs.
Pitt would convert a QB sneak on 3rd and 2 at BC 41 getting them to the 28 with :17 left. Holstein would hit Johnson on the cross and he would fall forward getting the first and giving the panthers one no huddle play.
Holstein would hit Nwabaku on a streak right bhind the backer from 16 yards out as the clock expired.
"Last game of the season, just scored as time expired and having the game in our hands we felt like we had to go for 2."
Holstein would hit Bartholomew on the quick slant were the blitzing backer vacated and some how he hangs on to give Pitt the comeback win 18-17.
