Bruins win hard fought rivalry game
Article By: In a defensive contest the bruins win off the strength of their own pick 6 and having no turnovers on offense come away with a 14-10 victory.
The game was defensive throughout as the Bruins held Jayden ott to 35 yards rushing he did add 63 in the pass game but stopping the run was the main focus and the defense delivered. The offense was poor at best after one good drive that led to a TJ harden TD in the second quarter the offense didn’t really do much a couple drives and the drive to seal it but no points came off those drives.
The defense led by Ramon Henderson who had a 96 yard pick six at the end of the half was the deciding factor DJ justice had a interception as well Greg smith had two tackles for loss and a sack as well .
Caught up with coach Vic and he said “ We changed up a lot of our defensive looks this week after that Nebraska game we had to changed things up and we did successfully” he also added “It may not look like it but our qb had a hell of a game today it doesn’t show up on the stat sheet but it has showed up in the locker room the guys love em and him being back at starter is great for us moving forward”.
