As much that went right fir the Dukes in Columbus, nothing seemed to go right today. JMU threw 5 INT's and lost a fumble within FG range as coach mcx79 still hasn't figured out how to slide with his QB and instead he leaps and loses the ball. Regardless UConn took early control of this one leading 10-0 after one quarter. JMU showed a little life gettign a pick 6 to get within 3 points, but a Huskies score followed by another JMU turnover and the UConn getting a TD just before halftime made things 24-7 Huskies at halftime. The huskies continued the assault in the 2nd half outscoring JMU 17-0 getting several more turnovers. JMU tried to tack on a garbage time score but even it was picked off at the goal line.

UConn came to JMU with a rusty team that hadn't taken the virtual gridiron in a couple weeks but the defense was up for the challenge.
The Huskies D pitched a shutout with the only JMU points coming off a pick 6 on an errant read from Fagnano. UConn intercepted 5 balls on the day, 2 from McDonald who increased his total to 4 int's and 2 td's thru 2 games.
The offense was well balanced and efficient with a focus on ball control and moving the chains all game.
