The Ohio Bobcats defense held Louisiana to only 189 yards of offense in today's win. The Bobcats threatened to score in the first quarter but were stuffed on fourth and goal at the 1. The defense held strong and forced UL to punt from inside their 5. The bobcats took advantage of the good field position and were able to take a 3-0 lead on a 28 yard field goal in the second quarter. The defense was again able to thwart the Cajun offense and get the ball back for their offense with just over a minute left in the half. With just 22 seconds left in the half Parker Navarro threw a 51 yard strike to Coleman Owen for a 10-0 Bobcat lead going into the half. On the opening possession of the second half the bobcats went on a 17 play drive that ended in a FG to go up 13-0. UL would finally answered with a 66 yard touchdown run by their QB on an option keeper. The Bobcats marched right down the field for a TD and a 2pt conversion to make it 21-7. The Cajuns weren't done just yet. They scored again to make it 21-14. Ohio would miss a 52 yard FG to ice the game with under 2 minutes remaining. UL took the ball and hit their WR over the middle for a big gain, but the Bobcats stripped the ball and recovered the fumble to seal the deal.
