It was a quality road win for the Wisconsin Badgers and Coach RB vs SEC foe Mizzou. But it came at a cost…
Wear and tear took its toll on the Wisconsin offense as they were without starting RB Tawee Walker and new standout WR Quincy Burroughs most of the second half.
“Chez stepped up big time for us. I know he was once the starter here but I’m proud of him staying engaged and ready for the moment” said coach RB
UW defense was dominant and controlled most of the game having a 21-0 lead late in the 3rd but Mizzou buckled down and fought back to make it a 21-14 game. It was the badgers offense who replied with a 3 min drive and a Td to seal the deal at 28-14 with a Ricardo Hallman INT.
The Badgers forced 5 INTs and held Mizzou to under 100 yards rushing. The next iteration of its defense is stopping the deep pass for 6. “We’ll get there “ said coach RB who was pleased with the secondary play minus 2 long balls.
Wisconsin advances to 3-0 with conference play ahead.
