The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets fall to 0-4 on the year. All four losses have come from a combined less than 25 points. The Jackets just cannot seem to finish this year. It is mostly self-inflicted wounds. To start the game against the Commodores, Haynes King tries to force a throw on the first drive and throws an interception to give the Commodores fantastic field position which sets up a two-score lead. Haynes King bounced back in the first half throwing a few touchdowns and putting a few hundred yards.
In the second half, the Yellow Jackets take the lead late into the third quarter for the first time all game and have all the momentum. The defense cannot hold up, as seen all year, but this time it is in the passing game. The Jackets gave up 500+ yards through the air this game. The defense lets up a score to give Vandy the lead again. Like previously mentioned, self-inflicted wounds kept us from taking the lead back. The offense drives down the field and Haynes King throws an interception in the redzone that ultimately gives the Commodores a two-score lead again and the Yellow Jackets can't recover as they lose 56-59 on the road in Vanderbilt.
