Dropped interceptions after the home opener versus Akron was a point of emphasis for the Golden Eagles coming into this week. The practice paid off as Jay Jones led the team with 3 interceptions and the rest of the defense forced 4 more. Despite this, the game was tied after the first quarter at 14 apiece. It was all Southern Miss after the first quarter, scoring 28 points in the second and only allowing 7 points the rest of the game. The Blazers could not find anything on offense or defense to put a stop to the Southern Miss gameplan. The Golden Eagles look to take winning ways to Western Michigan as they take on the 1 and 0 Broncos as their first road test.
