Provo, UT – The Baylor Bears delivered a dominant performance on both sides of the ball Saturday night, but it was their hard-nosed, relentless defense that set the tone in a 31-3 dismantling of the BYU Cougars at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
From the opening whistle, Baylor's defense imposed its will, swarming to the ball, stuffing the run, and pressuring BYU quarterback.
BYU’s offense never found its footing, with Baylor’s defensive line winning the battle in the trenches and their secondary locking down passing lanes.
The Bears' defense, however, was the real story.
With the win, Baylor improves its record to 3-2 on the season.
Horrendous week for the Cougars. Baylor dominated BYU in the trenches. BYU could not get the run game going, struggled to find open receivers downfield, and 5 turnovers from Retzlaff did not help. On the other side of the ball. Baylor's offense ran all over the Cougars. There was nothing that could be called that would stop the Bear's run game.

Defensive Player of the Game
