FRESNO, CALIFORNIA - Runnin Rebels survive a thriller against the Bulldogs and Head Coach OldManWobbles at Valley Children's Stadium in Fresno, California. It was a back n forth game with Head Coach OldManWobbles throwing timed deep passes over the top of the Rebels secondary, and Head Coach Black Rain had no answer for it. The gamble was on cover three, if the safeties would help over the top, those long passes would have been stopped, but the free or strong safeties were caught out of position on four huge passes down field, resulting in three touchdown passes for FSU QB Mikey Keene. The Bulldogs defense kept pressure all game against the Rebels quarterback, as he had no time to step back and throw under center formations, as the Rebels had to switch to shotgun or the pistol formations to get an extra step or time to throw, which was rare. Great defense OldManWobbles, it was a tough chess match to grab the close victory.
The Rebels were lucky to get out of Fresno, California with a much needed victory. The Rebels were down from the start, and had to fight back every punch the Bulldogs threw at them, and finally, somehow, the Rebels kicked a field goal with two seconds left to seal the victory in regulation. UNLV Quarterback Cameron Friels led the offense down the field in a clutch offensive possession to kick the field goal to survive the passing onslaught of QB Mikey Keene and his fast as hell wide receivers.. Great Game OldManWobbles! See you next season at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada! Good Luck the rest of the season!
The Rebels move on now to Utah State and Oregon State which will be tough games due to the head coaches of both of those teams.
