USC came out flat—maybe still riding high from their blowout win over Michigan. It looked like they overlooked Minnesota, who kept pace early. The game was tied 7–7 heading into the second quarter, but then the Trojans flipped the switch.
Led by Zachariah Branch, USC erupted on a 35–7 run. Branch torched the defense for three touchdowns through the air and added another on a punt return, putting the game out of reach and reminding everyone why USC is still a problem. best of luck coach Lone
