Georgia took to the road today in another SEC match up against the other Bulldogs of the SEC Mississippi State. UGA came out a little sluggish on the offensive side of the ball but eventually was able to start pulling it together and moving the ball down the field. Georgia would go on to put up the only points in the first quarter to go up 7-0. The defense for the Georgia Bulldogs was stifling as they were wreaking havoc in the backfield today. DE Mykel Williams had 8 total tackles, 8 TFL's and 4.5 sacks on the day. Other defenders that played well was MLB Raylen Wilson who had 13 total tackles and a forced fumble, FS KJ Bolden who had 6 total tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, and SS Malik Starks who had and interception and a forced fumble on the game. On the other side of the field the workhorse HB Trevor Etienne had another record day, rushing for 222 yards on 22 carries and 3 TD's on the day. "I believe we are finding ways to move the ball. We keep working on improving every week and although we still have room to grow, we saw a lot of promising things today. Our team played well and stepped up when it counted most." said Coach Cane after the game. UGA is half way done with the season and it's time to close out the latter part strong.
