Mean Green push Tulane to the brink, L..

Article By: Drewwbacca

Drewwbacca lead the Mean Green to their most complete defensive performance to date. Though the game resulted in yet another L on the record, there was moral victory to be had in slowing down one of the more talented teams in the AAC, who is also tied atop the conference standings.

The Green Wave sport a P4 level back in Makhi Hughes, and though he only gained 98 yds on 22 carries, 34 of those came after contact, and Tulane rode their work horse to pick up key first downs to sustain drives and keep the Mean Green from mounting any second half comeback.

Ikaika Ragsdale seems to be nursing some form of injury, as his hot start to the season with multiple 100+ yd rushing games in a row has vanished, and once again was held under 80 yds rushing. Chandler Morris had his characteristic, middling day. Going 10-18, with 1TD and 2 INT's.

Though the Green Wave sealed the deal in the end and sent the Mean Green packing, this effort by Tulane certainly won't do SSi any favors with the playoff committee should he be in line for any potential bid.

Nice win by SSi though. Congrats and good luck the rest of the way.
