UTSA's Robert Henry left no doubt who the best player on the field was in Memphis. The electric runner rushed for 83 yards on 11 carries and 3 TDs, and added 103 receiving yards and 2 additional TDs en route to a monster day.
Henry opened and closed the scoring for the Roadrunners, scampering in a 51 yarder on the 2nd Roadrunner play of the day, and in the 4th Q, against a rallying Memphis, he broke free on a 74 yard reception to ice the game and end any hopes of a Tiger comeback.
Following a 4 INT game, Roadrunner QB Brandon Tennison found his rhythm again, completing 12/17 for 248 yards and 2 TDs with zero turnovers.
Meanwhile, the defense struggled to contain the Memphis running attack, but thrived on 4 INTs when the Tigers took to the air, including a 37 yard pick six in the 1Q, and a backbreaking 98 yard pick six by Kendrick Blackshire, when the Tigers were trying to pull within 3 late in the 3Q.
The Roadrunners finish the season 8-4 (5-3) and one short of their expected win total.
The team is excited to see where they will be bowling after an exciting season.
