Owls Prevail in 2OT Classic

For a third time in the last 3 games FAU had found itself on the brink of a loss this time around trailing by 28 in the 3rd quarter to a tough ECU squad. However yet again the Owls had a championship level response as instead of putting their heads down they locked in and responded with multiple scores + stops to force overtime. In overtime they were tested again but ultimately came through thanks to an interception on the 2 point conversion attempt by ECU. QB Cam Fancher was not perfect but when it mattered late he led multiple game tying drives including one in the final minute of the game. The American conference from top to bottom is proving to be a very difficult test as it is easy to see why many view this as the best G5 conference. The Owls will now take some much needed rest and gear up for the final 2 games of the season next week with a very tough Charlotte side on tap.
