Coach Dealer will be packing his bags

Georgia Tech send Coach Dealer packing

Article By: dealer4014

The Canes came into this game hoping to stay in the ACC hunt with a victory against Georgia Tech, but things would quickly not go their way. Miami would go into the half down 28-14, they would do everything they could to comeback in the 4th quarter. They had their shot too, but an interception at the endzone would be the ending of the game and also the end of Coach Dealer's 4 seasons at the U.

"Man, this was not how I wanted this season to end. I know we have two games left against Wake Forest and Syracuse but everything is pointing to my exit. To be the Coach here at Miami has been a blast. We have some high's - winning the ACC Championship in Season 30 and we have had some lows - an inexcusable lateral that cost us a birth in the CFP Semi-Finals. But man have I enjoyed being the coach of this team the last 4 seasons. I really wish I could have got our team ready this game to come out faster and not put ourselves in such a hole. We showed some heart coming back but we just didn't have any room for error and we had a big error at the end. Georgia Tech played a heck of a game and deserves a lot of credit."

When asked what he thought his future would hold, Dealer had this to say, "Well, we've got two more regular season games and a bowl game. I will be the coach for those games, we are going to come out firing, we have nothing to lose now. No reason to hold anything back, lets go have some fun. We also are still in the Beefy Cup, we had a big win last night against a really tough Oregon team and it looks like we will have BigMike and the Florida Gators the next round. They have killed us all 4 seasons here. I would love to get a win against them before my time here is done."

When asked where he will look after this season, "That's a tough question, we will definitely be looking around, but our main focus is going to be finishing out these last few games."
