San Jose State went into Boise looking to be competitive, but came out with a victory on a late FG. The Spartans had no answer for Jeanty. That man is a beast and was seen running over Spartan players all night. With 337 yards rushing and 2 TDs and another 31 yards receiving, the Spartans were at a loss. However, the Spartans did start fast and scored 2 defensive TD's to take an early14-0 lead. This then went to the wayside as Boise State scored the next 28 points and led 31-21 at the half. In the 2nd half, SJSU played solid defense and came up with a big interception in the 4th to tie the score 31-31. SJSU received the ball back and kicked a FG with about 20 seconds left to take the lead. An INT on the last play sealed the victory. "This was a big win for the program. Boise State is an incredible team and Jeanty should not be allowed to play in this conference. He is very impressive and we could not do much to contain him. We still have more games to play and the Conference is looking very interesting right now," replied Coach Taruncheel.
