UGA took to the road in this weeks rivalry game against the Volunteers of Tennessee. This game was indeed a good one, as you had both teams coming out slugging it out from the start. Tennessee's offense had a great day on the ground, led by HB Sampson who pushed his way through defenders to get into the endzone a few times today. Nico looked like a man possessed as he was finding dot after dot down the field. Georgia struggled to move the ball on the ground and got away from the run too early in this one and you can see that the tempo change caused a big wrinkle for the Bulldogs. Tennessee fought hard but in the 4th quarter their defense took over and the defensive line wreaked havoc in the backfield. This game had very few mistakes as Nico only threw one pick all game and UGA didn't turn the ball over until the 4th quarter when Beck was hit and fumbled in the backfield and the defense would scoop and score to put the game out of reach. "It's an ongoing problem we are facing and afterwards we are seeing the areas we need to fix but aren't making the right adjustments. This loss hurts but we played some good ball just not at the end. The Vols played a solid game and their ground game was the difference maker. If we can't move the ball or make plays we can't win games." said Coach Cane after the game.
