What started as a hopeful rivalry clash quickly turned into a nightmare in Austin for Texas A&M.
The Aggies fell hard to the Longhorns, 38–14, in a game that spiraled out of control late in the first half. With under three minutes left before halftime, Texas began to pull away — and A&M never recovered.
Despite showing flashes of life in the third quarter with a couple of big plays, the Aggies couldn’t turn momentum into points. Every time it felt like a spark was lit, the Longhorns responded with back-breaking one-play touchdowns, deflating any attempt at a comeback.
A&M’s offense stalled out, the defense couldn’t stop the bleeding, and what could’ve been a competitive battle turned into another lopsided defeat in this rivalry.
