Houston came out strong getting a quick 21-3 lead against BYU. A long touchdown pass to Miles Davis would get things rolling as they score 21 unanswered to gain a 24-21 lead. Houston would follow that with a score of their own making it 24-28. BYU would bounce right back taking a 31-28 lead. Houston would later follow that up with a score making it 31-35. And once again BYU scores to make it 38-31. On Houston's next drive they would throw a pick six in the red zone to give BYU a 45-35 lead. Houston would score again making it 45-42. But BYU would be able to run the rest of the clock out and win the game.
