The Oklahoma State Cowboys built a steady lead through three quarters and held off a late surge by the Duke Blue Devils to secure a 30–24 win in a tightly contested matchup.
Oklahoma State came out strong, scoring in each of the first three quarters to establish a 30–10 advantage heading into the fourth. Their balanced attack—266 yards through the air and 99 on the ground—kept Duke’s defense on its heels. The Cowboys were particularly efficient on third down, converting five of nine attempts, and finished with 365 total yards of offense.
The Blue Devils, though slow to start, came alive late. After trailing by 20, Duke stormed back with two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, narrowing the gap and putting pressure on Oklahoma State in the final minutes. Despite the comeback attempt, the Cowboys' defense held strong when it mattered most.
Turnovers were costly for Duke, who threw two interceptions, one of which came in a critical moment late in the game. Oklahoma State also had a turnover of their own, but managed to avoid any major damage. The Cowboys were also perfect in the red zone, converting all four trips into touchdowns, compared to Duke’s two touchdowns and one field goal on three visits.
Special teams added extra yardage for both sides, with the Cowboys totaling 56 return yards and Duke not far behind with 26. Notably, Oklahoma State played a clean game with no penalties, while Duke committed three for 10 yards.
With the win, the Cowboys improve their standing with a strong overall performance, while the Blue Devils will look to regroup after falling just short despite a spirited fourth-quarter effort.
