Bearkats come out with a victory
Article By: The Bearkats came out today on fire. The score was 14-0 the first minute of the game. They rode that wave to a 42-21 victory over Colorado State.
The first half started fast as the Bearkats received the ball and on the second play of the drive threw a bomb for 70 yards for a td. After kickoff the rams got possession a threw an interception which the Bearkats returned to the 14 yard line then the next play the Bearkats scored again. In total the Bearkats scored 21 points in the first quarter then another 14 points in the second quarter to tally 35 points in the first half.
The second half was all about maintaining the lead and the Bearkats did that forcing 2 turnovers to have a total of 4 in the game the stand out on defense was Jaylon jimmerson with 2 interceptions. The defense did give up 14 points in the second half to go along with 7 in the first but overall maintained a sense of control and balance to get the win.
Coach Vic said after the game “This one felt good felt like a complete game for the most part did give up a lot in the 3rd quarter but overall solid game by my guys today proud of them”.
