NDL: S32W3 - UNLV (14) at Penn State (25)

Nicholas Singleton with 118 rushing yards!

Penn State gets it done at home!

Article By: the_niddler

This game was a surprising defensive battle in the first half.
The score at the end of the half was UNLV 7 - Penn State 9.

The 3rd quarter, Penn State's offense opened it up a little putting 13 points on the board.
They added 2 scores by HB Nicholas Singleton. A 1 yard rush and a 37 yard rush.
They did not convert on the 2 point try.
The score at the end of the 3rd, UNLV 7 - Penn State 22.

In the 4th quarter, the Nittany Lions were down in scoring range and were trying to show their opponents some respect with 2:21 left in the game.
They kicked a FG on 2nd down to go up 25-7.
The ensuing drive, UNLV marched right down the field and scored on a 33 yard pass from QB Cameron Friel to Laleo Ballungay.

Lesson learned by me, when only up by a couple scores, do NOT take my foot off the throttle.

Player(s) of the game:
HB Singleton had 20 rushes for 118 yards and 2 TDs.
QB Allar was 9 of 13 for 317 yards and 1 TD, 0 INTs on the day.

UNLV had a rough day at Beaver Stadium!

Rebels Get Clawed by the Nittany Lions

Article By: Black Rain

STATE COLLEGE | Head Coach TheNiddler heard the touchdown from the sideline. The Penn State football coach felt the sound running back Nicholas Singleton generated on his half back draw 1-yard touchdown run Saturday vs. UNLV. UNLV linebacker Mani Powell ran straight through the gap and had Singleton dead to rights, and met Singleton in the backfield that would have been a big loss on the six yard line, but Singleton trucked Powell enroute to the touchdown.
This is the team Penn State brings on the field, one with high expectations, an even higher dose of confidence and, frankly, a bit of a mean streak. The Nittany Lions took apart UNLV 25-14 in Week 4 of Season 32 - NDL College Football 25, coldly putting away the Runnin’ Rebels with relentless defensive pressure, a run game that plowed through them worse than the wind chill and a demeanor that oozed self-assurance.

Penn State is not here to make playoff noise or end narratives or worry about what the world thinks of Big Game TheNiddler. The Nittany Lions believe they can win a trophy. They are close to winning a National Championship.

Linebacker Abdul Carter, who chased down UNLV quarterback Cameron Friels for an absurd sack, said last week that that he is best player in college football! After the game, and his bad-man response to TheNiddler, Singleton said he and Kaytron Allen form the nation's best backfield. Defensive tackle Dvon J-Thomas said he wanted to mess up the Runnin’ Rebels and scare the hell out of them; at Beaver Stadium with a exclamation-point defensive performance. He got it. Defensive End Dani Dennis-Sutton came up with a huge sack safety before halftime, making the game 9-7 at the half.

Penn State launched its mojo against UNLV with three interceptions, by S Kevin Winston Jr., CB Elliot Washington II, and S Zackee Wheatley. Throughout the game, Penn State’s defensive line turned UNLV quarterback Cameron Friel’s inside out, forcing him into three picks, a ton of throwaways and frantic retreats from the pocket. Though the offense did not materialize early, Singleton and Allen bulldozed defenders, behind their bully offensive line, for 117 rushing yards. Tight end Tyler Warren had a nice game (two catches, 94 yards), in addition, WR Julian Fleming was the second star of the game (four catches, 158 and one touchdown).

UNLV coach Black Rain rightfully lamented his teams many mistakes, particularly in the second half. He said that UNLV did not get to show our best today. But he also recognized what statement Penn State made.

Good Luck rest of the Season Head Coach TheNiddler! Good Game, Brother! Nice win!
