Vanderbilt has controversially benched QB Diego Pavia in favor of Nate Johnson. Johnson turned the ball over 4 times but also was responsible for 4 TDs. Johnson led the team with 66 yards and 2 TDs on the ground. It remains to be seen if Pavia or Johnson will get the star next week at Mizzou.
If Vandy hopes to have any shot in the SEC the defense has to improve. And they seemingly have each week. Although they were able to hold LaTech to under 300 yards, they also gave up too many points. LaTech kept it close, but the Dores were able to hang on for win #2.
