Temple gets 1st Home W, Opens Conf 1-0

Tempe Beat (AP) - Opening Conference play at Home a place that hasnt been kind to the hosting Owls as they would take on the UTSA Road Runners in the first conf game of their season. Jay Ducker and Geovani Mckoy led a strong ground attack to the tune of over 300 yards and 4 Rushing TDs. Ducker broke off a long TD to start the ground attack and the Owls legs never slowed down. The Owls defense again forced multiple turnovers like it has for 3 straight games now which Temple has gone (2-1) in those games with a blowout loss in between to the mighty Razorbacks. The Owls D did just enough to hold off an incredible UTSA offense. UTSA didnt make many mistakes in the passing game but lost a few fumbles that forced them to abandon the run was ultimately a difference maker in the game. Owls survived an aerial assualt to move to 1-0 in the Conf and now 2-3 on the year.
