Temple Beat (AP) - After vowing to play better on the road Temple did just that as they held off the Thundering Herd in dramatic fashion for a 24-21 win. It would not come easy, shaking off an early questionable Tom Brady tuck rule fumble, Temple would bounce back behind Jay Ducker on the ground and lead 10-7 at the half. Marshall would battle back twice taking 14-10, and then a 21-17 lead on incredible catch in the corner of the end zone w/ under 2 minutes to play. With all 3 timeouts Temple bullied their way down the field behind Jay Ducker and Gevani Mckoy legs and two clutch catches to allow the Owls to grab the 24-21 lead with just under a minute to play. Marshall would drive down to the 38 and on a last second gasp on a broken play Javier Morton found himself in single coverage and would come up with his 3rd interception of the day , this one icing the game and giving Coach Russi his first NDL W. Next up a bye and a tough trip to Arkansas before heading off to conference play.
